Tragic Realization

I watched you go,

Your back,

A solemn reminder of all that I once had,

Now lost,

Drifts farther and farther away as the years pass by,

Till finally,

As if to signal the end,

I can see you no longer.

Achingly alone, I find myself staring at the space you once occupied,

The stark absence of your being sends shivers down my spine,

And as angry tears begin to streak down these crumpled cheeks all I can do is scream,

Was this really all for nothing?

Well dear anon I’m afraid I fell out of love and with my falling out I lost my inspiration to write such poetry. Its actually kinda sad…maybe I should try writing again?
